Cyclopark One Day Stage Race

Firstly and most importantly, there will be a general classification for overall race winner.

The will be awarded to the rider with the quickest overall time for all 4 stages.

The event will also have a 3 rider team classification. This will be based on the quickest time of all 3 riders added together for all 4 stages.

(Entry is more than welcome from individual riders. we will place all non team riders into composite teams)

There will be a jersey awarded after each bunch stage for the hotspots sprinters jersey. This will be based on points gained in sprints throughout the stage and will be awarded to the rider with the highest points total.

Each stage carries the obvious prestige that goes with a stage win, as well as British Cycling ranking points.

Stage 1 will be a short 1km (approx) prologue Individual time trial.

This will use the bottom half of the Cyclopark circuit.

Stage 2 is a short 40 minute circuit race using the flat and tight bottom half of the Cyclopark circuit.

The stage will include 3 x Hotspot sprints and carry a finish line time bonus for the overall general classification of 10, 5 & 3 seconds for the first 3 finishers.

Stage 3 is one for the teams. A team time trial over two laps of the Cyclopark full circuit. 

Time will be taken on the second rider over the line.

The final stage 4 will be an hour long circuit race using the Cyclopark full circuit.

The stage will include 4 x hotspot sprints and carry a finish line time bonus for the overall general classification of 10, 5 & 3 seconds for the first 3 finishers.
