Setting yourself a target ride to do, is a great way to keep you on track with your riding and motivation to ride.
Most rides like this are a big undertaking, with many aspects of spending numerous hours on your bike underestimated.
We can help with a gradual structured build up to the ride, making sure that it's remembered as an enjoyable experience.
The nature of a ride like this is always going to be tough, that’s why you’ve set it as a major challenge, but with the right guidance, we can ensure you’re prepared as possible.
Not only we will make sure you’re physically prepared, but also be on hand to help with guidance on bike position, technique, nutrition (in the build up and on the day), and equipment choice.
Initial get-together (in person or phone call) to discuss-
- All about you as a person to establish your available time to train & recover.
- Current level of cycling experience.
- Your cycling & sports history.
- Current fitness levels.
- What you love about cycling.
- Your target ride.
- Your perceived strengths & weaknesses.
- A date going forward to carry out a Fitness test to establish the correct training levels to be set and a starting point to monitor progress.
Service Provided -
- An outline of training phases based around your goals.
- Training phases planned and explained in advance.
- Comprehensive monthly training plan, through Training Peaks, set in advance working towards goals and planned around work/life commitments
- As much daily feedback as required through the Training Peaks platform.
- Monthly phone call to discuss the training completed, upcoming training and any other questions.
What do you need?
- A computer or laptop to record training data.
- Your own Training Peaks account (Basic or premium),
- A GPS cycle computer and heartrate monitor
- A power meter is not required at this stage of a riders development but will certainly be of benefit if you have one.
- An indoor turbo trainer.
Cost - £150 Total. (Based on a 3 month plan)
